D&W AgenciesN.V. are considered as a leading and highly experienced Antwerp shipping and forwarding company.
Next to our liner department covering several conventional and general cargo shipping lines , we are strongly involved in freight contracting, custom brokerage, warehousing, consolidation, NVOCC, project cargo and worldwide logistics. We also have an affiliated forwarding company at Brussels airport.
The company was founded in 1999 , but the history of D&W Agencies N.V. can be traced back as far as 1905 when the company E. Deckers & Co was originally founded. In 1931 the company was renamed in Deckers Frères et Wirtz and in 1937 became Deckers & Wirtz P.V.B.A. Thereafter, in 1990, for legal reasons, the company was finally renamed in Deckers & Wirtz B.V.B.A. which still remains as such.
Today, Deckers & Wirtz B.V.B.A. has no maritime activities but acts as the holding company of many companies,including D&W Agencies N.V.
Deckers & Wirtz B.V.B.A. was originally involved in forwarding activities. Since 1971 it specialised in regular liner agency by starting to represent Arrow Line., followed by many other shipping lines.
